Sarah May Bates is a Vice President / Creative Director at RPA Advertising working on the Honda brand and a commercial director, one half of duo Sarah & Jeremy repped by Tool of North America. Born and raised in Los Angeles, she’s married, with a 4-year-old and a 2-year old, and she’s passionate about mental-health awareness. Sarah has a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy and hosts, “Help Me Be Me,” one of the top health podcasts on Apple podcasts — all about creativity and mental health. She also owns and operates Yay With Me — a site full of practical tools and inspiration to become your best self. Half-Korean and half-English, Sarah speaks on topics related to self-advocacy and equal representation in the advertising industry.
Sarah has been nominated for two Emmy’s and featured in the Sundance Film Festival, and in The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times and on Huffington Post. Sarah has also taught master’s level integrated advertising at The Academy of Art in San Francisco.
